Hurricane Danielle
Danielle is still a category 4 storm. As of 8pm EDT Friday peak sustained winds were near 135 mph. Some slight strengthening is possible through the next 24 hours.
As of 8pm EDT Friday, Hurricane Danielle was located about 410 miles to the southeast of Bermuda and was moving toward the northwest at 9 mph. It is expected to make a gradual turn to the north-northwest tonight, and a further turn to the north on Saturday.
The storm will produce large waves and heavy surf for Bermuda over the weekend. Rip currents and swells from Danielle should also be felt along the east coast of the United States through the weekend.
Tropical Storm Earl was located 1080 miles to the east of the Northern Leeward Islands with top winds of 45 mph as of 8pm EDT Friday. Earl was racing toward the west at 20 mph.
Earl is forecast to gradually strengthen and is forecast to become a hurricane by Sunday.
